My child, eat honey, for it is good, and the honeycomb is sweet to the taste. In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short. -Proverbs 24:13-14

I was reading a book once that suggested I look up what my name meant. It said that your name may say a lot about who God created you to be. My name means honey bee. I was stumped at first. What does a honey bee say about my purpose or who I am? I felt compelled to do a little research.

What jumped out at me was the fact that most honey bees are female worker bees. They spend their lives gathering nutrients like pollen and nectar to make honey and feed the developing bees. Their sole purpose in life is the nourishment and growth of those bees. Then it hit me. My greatest joy is gathering wisdom (from Scripture, experiences and teachers) and sharing it to help others grow in Christ.

About Me

I see everything through the lens of how I can make it more beautiful. It’s just how God wired me. Whether it’s uplifting someone with words, making a meal for loved ones, or designing a presentation—my heart is happy when I can bring beauty into a situation. I work remotely as a graphic designer which allows me flexibility to spend time with the people I love most (my husband, Austin and two young daughters, Norah and Eva) and to do what I love most (encouraging women through writing and speaking).
